ABOUT THE TABLEWARE
'In The Clouds' is an artisanly produced porcelain set of tableware that could not have been made without the contemporary possibilities of computer aided design and 3d-printing.
The set consists of minimalistically shaped pieces of glazed and unglazed porcelain in various tones.
The graphic decoration of a cloudy sky originates from the grid that also forms the skin of the porclain, and is inspired by the skiescapes that are often an inconspicuous part of the decoration on both Dutch Delftware as well as Asian porcelain.
